There’s a great thing in being self-sufficient, but not all dependencies of others should be called lacking of virtue.
Similarly there are ways to connect with oneself. It’s almost as if each sense or emotion holds a ticket to a different world. A world easily discoverable with the eyes of the soul.
There are always those unseen tickets, and I think we’re all aware that this exists — it’s not that simple after all. It requires a type of openness that’s much different from merely be open to ideas. I think it more relates to having a self-connection. I don’t know how this is achieved, but I can only imagine it takes something like discovering core passions, following them — nurturing them and allowing them to grow. Eventually needing to break from them, but then, being able to open the eyes of the soul again. That’s how we find it.
